Understanding the Domain

In the case of domains such as RDBMS and Web Development:

In case of the education domain:

Key takeaways:

The 5 Elements of the Domain

  A researcher creates the concept.

An author  projects   the concept in different ways.

A publisher distributes  these projections.

A teacher demonstrates   the distributions.

A student  consumes   the demonstrations.

These are the 5 key players in the sector

An EdTech should understand their roles and requirements. KSource understands very well.

The first four elements serve the fifth element (student). Of the four elements, author and teacher are the most influencers of the activities of an Edtech.

The remaining three elements: Author, Teacher and Student are the key elements.

1.    Author and Teacher fall on input side, while Student falls on the other side (output side).

2.      Thus, author and teacher are the two eyes for an Edtech.

3.   The success of an Edtech depends on:
how an Edtech is coordinating with an author and how an Edtech is helping a teacher
in his day-to-day academic activities, to serve the final consumer (student) the best.

This is our understanding of the domain and its key players. With this understanding, we identified the core activities of an Edtech.

The Core activities of an EdTech

1.    Content Creation
2.    Content Delivery
3.    Content Evaluation

While there are other supporting activities, these core activities form a fundamental loop that drives learning and teaching.

KSource foundational perspective

1.    Content creation is scientific
2.    Content delivery is an art
3.    Content evaluation is technical

Teaching is more of art, as teacher is meant for content delivery and author is meant for content creation.

We also acknowledge the overlap and complexity inherent in both the professions.

KSource Enhanced Perspective

KSource creates a combined and holistic environment that integrates both scientific and artistic elements in our platform.

KSource Approach to Mathematics

Dealing with a mathematical problem involves 3 steps:

  1.   Understanding the context

    ▪   Identifying the subject, chapter, model, topic, etc, is done here

  2.   Parsing the data
    ▪    Understanding what is given and what is asked.
    ▪     Pulling the data
  3.   Solving the problem
    ▪    Step by step solution is done here

The first two stages are of intelligence based,
while the third stage is of completely rule based.

Nothing is as transparent as it looks. Even a rule-based system needs some amount intelligence for rule selection.

Thus, the process of solving a mathematical problem involves a dynamic interplay between Rule-Based  AI and Context-Based AI.

This is the fundamental belief behind the emergence of KSource Technologies Pvt Ltd.

Building a hybrid system of AI for dealing effectively STEM subject learning and teaching.

Making Rules, Breaking Contexts

We have a clear and well-defined approach of serving:

KBOOKS

Ditch the traditional textbooks – introducing kBooks, intelligent textbooks that work offline as well

Our mission is to make textbook reading purposeful, essential and habitual

kBooks define a new way of learning and aim to be a part and parcel of day-today class room teaching in school learning, test preparation, k12 segment and competitive exam preparation.

Ditch the traditional textbooks

kBooks are the next-gen intelligent textbooks that work offline as well

Balancing Precision and Personalisation

The hybrid AI Approach in STEM Education

AI = Rule Based AI + Context Based AI

Education sector, particularly stem subjects always demand accuracy, consistency and thus reliability (ACR). For decades, computers are well known for speed, accuracy and consistency. With the technological advancements and massive amounts of data, age old mathematical and logical algorithms are getting matured day by day. Now people are trying to add intelligence component, which is due for decades, at the cost of ACR to bring personalisation, flexibility and thus convenience (PFC).

No minor deviation is tolerated for a curriculum driven learning, so rule-based AI is suitable. A non-curriculum driven or a personalised learning employs context-based AI at the cost of ACR.

The goal is to bring personalisation and convenience without compromising on ACR, which is vital for curriculum learning. Neither RBS nor CBS alone is sufficient in the present scenario of competitive world. It is the hybrid system (RBS + CBS) that serves the purpose.

AI with Logic

Learning is driven by curriculum and/or is driven by personalisation. Curriculum driven learning is 100% ACR, though rigid and lacks experimentation. Non-curriculum driven learning is flexible and convenience at the cost of ACR.

Rule and Pattern are means to one another, and not the ends.

KSource is on the way to integrate rule-based AI and context-based AI.

Evolving Rule-Based AI into Context-Aware Intelligence

Making rules, Breaking contexts:

To enhance our robust rule-based AI system to accommodate context-aware rules, we are:

  1.   Identifying relevant contextual triggers,
  2.   Updating rules to include context-specific conditions, and
  3.   Implementing a dynamic decision-making process that adapts to changing contexts.

Thus, we aim to create a more intelligent and responsive system for our EdTech platform.

Revolutionising the way learning and teaching are done

Emphasis on real time drawing:

  1.    Revolutionise learning with real time drawing
  2.    Watch concepts come alive with interactive and collaborative drawing
  3.    No more static screens – engage students with dynamic, real-time visuals

Connection to activity-based learning:

  1.    Turn every lesson in to an active exploration with real-time drawing
  2.    Empower students to learn by doing through interactive drawing activities

About Us

KSource Technologies Pvt Ltd

KSource is a deep tech start up in the education sector.

With more than two decades of academic and industry experience and passion for innovation, I started this project in 2019. We are not pandemic driven; we are passion driven. With immense research and hard work, I developed cutting edge algorithms for building a game changing deep tech company in the education sector.

KSource was born in January, 2023. Diversified subject matter expertise, vast amount of teaching experience and strong new age technical skills are the driving forces behind this innovative and first of its kind company in the world.

Use Cases:

1.     Homework is not the same for any two students

  1.   Different homework – fixing the accountability
  2.   Differentiated homework – achieving personalisation

2.    Homework help

  1.    A detailed step by step solution is provided for any homework
  2.    How can we eliminate copy-paste problem is the big  thing that we bring to the table

3.    The side effects of homework help are nullified

  1.   Cheating by students is completely nullified
    •  Homework submission is done in an interactive way
    •  Homework  evaluation is also automated
  2.   Not missing the very basic purpose of homework, i.e.,  learning by practice
  3.  Teachers are relieved from the burden of homework evaluation

4.    True personalisation

  1.   Not just MCQ evaluation
  2.   Descriptive question   evaluation is done
  3.   Feedback is based on intermediate-step evaluation, even   for stem subjects

5.    Truly unlimited content at zero marginal cost

Innovation is hard to believe:

  1.    Testing is not the same for any two students:
    The conflict of
       •   maintaining the same level of difficulty, and
       •   as many question papers as needed
          is handled properly
  2.     Instant evaluation and grading are done
  3.     No chance of mass copying
  4.     Paper leakages are meaning less
  5.     No need of strict invigilation and thus cost of conducting tests is reduced
